Happy Saturday fellow positivities!
I hope you have a nice weekend planned be it doing absolutely nothing or packed with doing a lot. Irrespective of what you do have planned, love each minute of the two days we have off!
In the midst of it all, please don’t forget to take some time out for yourself over the weekend to reflect (not dwell) on the experiences you’ve had during the week. Asking yourself if there were moments that could have been handled better? But don’t berate yourself over anything, just remember for next time.
One morning this week, I made my son crépes for breakfast. As he was walking from the kitchen into the dining room, the crépes slid off his plate and onto the floor. My reaction wasn’t the best, I must admit, but it could have been worse. I told him I was sorry for my grumpy reaction and that it wasn’t the best way to deal with such an insignificant situation. Accidents happen.
My reflection, today, is that I regained composure within a few minutes and I apologised to him for my reaction. My hope is that he learnt from me how to react in a more positive way to such an insignificant situation! It’s not like he did it on purpose, and if he did, so what?
We are all still learning and we still won’t know everything when/if we turn 100. So lets give ourselves a break and know that we’re all doing the best we can.
Until tomorrow ~ Live Life, Love Life
