Every day for the month of August, write down, email or text a friend, 5 to 10 things that you were grateful for that day.
The occurrences can range from little things such as, ‘I am grateful my toaster didn’t burn the toast this morning’, to big things like ‘I am grateful that my son is choosing to do well at school and is gaining confidence from his achievements’.
By starting today, you will look at what you have in life rather than focusing on what you don’t have.
By the end of August, you will be in the happy zone and it will become a daily occurrence for the rest of your life.
